While the wind whipped up a mighty typhoon outside, students from the Media+Visual Communication, Chang Gung University brewed their own creative storm in a sort of fantasizing process by mixing and applying concrete to every kind of material. Briefed to explore the potential of embedding ‘sentiment’ into materials, they visualised their concepts through materials’ exploration, rather than inventing from scratch.

Working on ideas such as layered pieces that represent the social recession of time, the ‘beauty’ of pollution or figurative narratives, participants worked fluidly and without restraints. As the digital domain expands, it’s so refreshing to see creative souls at work without restriction and without computers!
